Jessica contacted me near the end of last year to book me for an extended family session. As a blended family with adult children, she desired to have the whole family together for family photos. As the day approached, we confirmed the location and hoped the rain would stay out the way.
Thankfully it was a beautiful day, though a little chilly when I met up with the family at Queeny Park. Unfortunately one son couldn’t make it to the session, but we didn’t allow that to dampen spirits. Jessica was super excited to capture moments of the sons there as well as her sweet granddaughter.
You could tell Eric and Jessica are enthralled with their granddaughter! Jessica brought a bubble machine which entertained Maria and brought genuine smiles. Her eyes sparkled and her personality showed brightly as she chased the bubbles floating lightly into the air. There was no denying that the moments with sweet Maria in them were the treasures of the session.
Capturing the genuine love between the couples was another special time! Between laughs, Jonathan and Kaiya showed that they could walk while bumping into each other. They might have thought it awkward, but the photos turned out beautifully! Some of my favorite shots were of Eric looking lovingly at his bride as Jessica looked at the camera. It was also fun capturing them as they smiled at each other.
Queeny Park never disappoints and the late afternoon weather worked so beautifully in two of my favorite spots to shoot. The family was very laid back and pivoted when we scrapped one spot due to harsh sunlight. What struck me was how they all loved one another and it showed in the photos captured.
