As a child, waiting for Christmas to finally arrive might be the biggest thing anticipated, but when you’re a soon-to-be parent, it’s waiting for your baby’s arrival. Lloyd and Ashley Byrd are over the moon excited to meet their baby girl, Lynnlee Rose.

Cliff Cave Park is Lloyd and Ashley’s park – they often visited while dating, Lloyd dropped to one knee at the overlook and they had engagement and wedding photos taken there. It only made sense to capture the maternity session there as well. Since the overlook faces east, I suggested we do a sunrise session to capture the spectacular light. The Byrds agreed. Little did I know that the morning we would meet it would be extremely windy, brining some rain clouds too.

Despite brief wind gusts and an occasional rain shower, both Lloyd and Ashley did a fabulous job taking my direction to capture some stunning images. Ashley was stunning in a gorgeous burgundy dress while we accentuated it for photos with a stunning rose bouquet created by Abby Ever After Flowers. While waiting for Lynnlee to arrive, this couple had some stunning moments captured they’ll be able to share with her one day.
