Most people plan to stay up late on Halloween, but the Lauer family woke up early to make it out to Shaw Nature Reserve and capture images with some morning light. There was a chill in the air when we arrived, so we started the session walking while I captured moments of the family as they interacted with one another.

During our time together, I had a blast getting to know them better. I enjoyed capturing fun, candid moments amidst the posed portraits. The Reserve offered an array of fabulous locations for our session. The scenery provided stunning backdrops for this wonderful family.

I absolutely loved capturing moments for this family. Taking photos of each parent with their kids, capturing the goofiness of the Lauer kids and some special moments of the parents were highlights for me. As we ended the hour session, the oldest remarked how it didn’t feel like an hour had passed. I think the Lauers had a great time!
