A Family Full of Quiet Strength | Queeny Park Family Session

I’ve partnered with The Bennett Project to provide photography services to families who have been impacted by pediatric cancer. As these families bravely battle cancer, I get to cheer them on through a photo session without the burden of the cost.

One of these precious and brave families is the Bender family. After sickness caused a cancellation last year, we were able to meet and capture springtime moments at Queeny Park. Once I met this family I was instantly captivated.

Amanda, had a quiet temperament that seemed to be passed down to her children. Both boys easily took direction and lovingly doted on their one-month-old sister. Incorporating Ginny, Amanda’s mom, into photos came easily and capturing the generations was super special.

When I learned the boys had been promised a prize for listening well I raised the ante letting them know I had something for them as well. Even while listening well they were able to have fun and still be boys. While both boys were taken with their sister, there was a special place in the younger boy’s heart for his sister. One of the sweetest moments was when he gathered some flowers for his baby sister.

I had such a great time with this amazing family. While I loved the posed moments, the ones that stole the show were the more impromptu moments that were captured that shows the heart of this family.
