Someone once said, “From the moment they placed you in our arms, you snuggled right into our hearts.” For first-time parents, Lucas and Taylor you could tell that this quote is exactly their experience; they are enthralled with their daughter. Once Natalie Jean made her debut into the world, her parents have quickly adjusted to life as parents. Not once did I hear either of them complain about her sleep or eating schedule and they beamed at their daughter every second. Reaves, the family’s Aussie/beagle mix, joined in on many of the photos and was so good! I could see that he’ll be a great dog for Natalie to play with in the near future!
Having had the pleasure of capturing moments prior to Natalie’s arrival (click here to see the maternity session), it was nice to see how Lucas and Taylor stepped into their role as parents. They doted on her and Lucas was proud of his wife who labored some before having an unplanned c-section. It was amazing to capture moments of Lucas and Taylor’s reactions to their precious daughter. Those moments plus the macro images of Natalie’s features are some of my favorites from our time together.
Ann Morrow Lindbergh once said, “In the sheltered simplicity of the first days after a baby is born, one sees again the magical closed circle, the miraculous sense of two people existing only for each other, the tranquil sky reflected on the face of the mother nursing her child.” Lucas and Natalie are quickly discovering the magic of parenthood that exists!
