Traveling for a session brings the joy of capturing moments alongside my love for a road trip. I traveled to the small town of Silex, Missouri to capture some lovely moments of the Caruthers family.

Drake and Jenna invited me to their home, once Jenna’s grandmother’s, to take some family photos. We first captured some photos of the family on the porch swing, a piece of nostalgia Jenna wanted to make sure to include.
“Having somewhere to go is home. Having someone to love is family.
And having both is a blessing.”
After a few moments on the porch, we loaded in vehicles and set down their driveway to their field where we spent most of the time. Jenna brought with them a few props to utilize and though it was windy and chilly, had fun capturing moments of the family.

Probably my favorite moments I captured during my time with the Caruthers were all candid – The moment Jenna laughed out loud as she and Drake cuddled on the blanket. Big sister June doting on her little sister and the love shown between them. The images of the family all together snuggling close to try to stay warm and Addy taking the spotlight with her tongue stuck out.
