I’ve known the Freiner family since being young so when Lisa contacted me about taking photos of not only them but her family as well, I quickly agreed! With Lisa’s newlywed daughter in Chicago, her youngest off at Missouri S&T and her son a new dad, I knew the importance of their family being together. Lisa’s parents celebrating 65 years of marriage and her own celebration of 35 years with husband Barry were the cherries on top.
I ventured down a country road in Hillsboro where I met the family including Lisa’s parents, Bill and Edina, and her sister and husband. Bill and Edina’s home was the perfect location to capture fall photos as it boasted a beautiful pond and tree-lined drive that was in the beginning stages of turning to its autumn vibrance.
I loved mixing candid with posed moments so I interacted with the family and prompted them to either look at the camera or each other. I especially loved the moments of Bill and Edina with their grandkids as well as their great granddaughter. Other than shots all together a focus of my time was to capture photos of Bill and Edina and Lisa and Barry for their anniversaries. Capturing the moments between Bill and Edina made my heart melt and the way they looked at one another, showed their love and respect for one another.
It was a spectacular first day of fall and the morning was perfect to capture moments of this loving family.
