When Shawne and I first discussed location ideas for their family session, I could tell she liked the idea of historic Lafayette Square as a backdrop for photos for her, Jeff and Madison. We met on a cooler day but thankful that rain had come and went the day prior.
I recently took school photos of Madison with Classical Conversations so I knew she would be a blast to photograph again especially capturing moments of her with her parents. We started on the square capturing some time in front of some of the historic homes and then ventured into the park where we made our way throughout, taking in a vintage baseball game in process and capturing moments on the rock garden grotto bridge, in front of the pond and the Kern Pavilion.
Lafayette Square Park is one of those parks that has a ton of possibilities for photos which makes it a favorite place to capture moments. It was great fun walking through the park with the Russom family, capturing moments and updating family photos for them. Someone once said, “Having somewhere to go is home. Having someone to love is family. And having both is a blessing.” Jeff, Shawne and Madison showed me how blessed they are.
