The Catterlin Family | St. Louis Family Photography

It was a dreamy fall day, one of those days that is the epitome of what you imagine when you think fall. The sun was out, it wasn’t terribly cold and the fall foliage was showing off! I was thrilled Melissa won one of my giveaways this year and she used it on one of the best days for fall photos.

Melissa was joined by her four kids who are spunky and know how to have fun! Melissa’s brother Ricky also joined in on some of the photos making them extra special. While not in front of the camera, the boys in particular had fun picking on one another, reminding me of the large family fun. The kids were great in front of the camera and there were so many sweet moments of them, especially with their mom.

I had a great time capturing moments for Melissa. I knew who she was from church but during the session got to know her and her family better. Chaley Benetto once said, “When you are looking at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know,” which definitely translated into the images I captured. The photos showcase how much her kids adore her and how much fun they like to have as a family. As the sun began descending in the sky, our time come to a close, I left the park overhearing them talk about butterscotch shakes. (I later found out they got them!)
