Denise Hasty contacted me to capture moments of her extended family while they gathered together for an early Christmas celebration. Since their last family session in 2011, Hasty’s parents had some significant health issues so it was imperative to get a perfect family shot.
Denise’s daughter hosted the event and we utilized her living room to capture some fun images of the entire family and individual families as well. We moved outside, across the street to the community lake. The neighbor offered the use of their bridge, which proved a unique vantage for photos.
It was a wonderful time capturing moments of this fun family. The day was a little chilly but delightful for a late afternoon in December. It was great capturing their laughter together, the way they teased each other and how they interacted with one another. As Jess C. Scott said, “Friends are the family you choose.” For Denise and her family, I can say they are friends and family.
