Sandy Creek Covered Bridge is special place to me since it was the background of wedding photos for me nine years ago. Every year my family returns to capture photos in celebration of our wedding anniversary. This year, it was my first time hosting fall sessions here and I was amazed at the beauty of the memories captured!
I hosted ten amazing families, all who had special moments to capture. For some clients, this is an annual session getting a Christmas card shot and document the growth of each child. For others, it was a celebration of an anniversary or a milestone passed, but most are as mesmerized of the bridge as I am!
The morning sessions were simple perfection. I utilized the back of the bridge for some tender moments which provided brilliant lighting. For most of the morning, we had the bridge to ourselves with just a few visitors sharing the backdrop with us. As the sun shifted, so did the amount of visitors with many groups of homecoming attendees. During these times, I utilized some of the often overlooked places in the park including some bluffs in the creek and a shady space that filtered the light beautifully!
As I have finished the edits and deliveries of these sessions, I look back at them fondly! I am overwhelmed by the beautiful day God blessed us with! While it was chilly at times, the sun provided warmth and beautiful lighting. There were so many beautiful moments captured it was hard to narrow down the images to the highlight below. I would say, while it was my first time hosting sessions here, it won’t be my last! The autumn magic is definitely felt in this special place!
