It was a beautiful morning when I met Heidi and her family at Bee Tree Park in Oakville. Our mutual friend Grace recommended me to her for her family photos and I was excited to capture moments of her family of four.
We began our time at the woods around the entrance which is one of my favorite spots to capture moments since the light filters beautifully! Normally, kids take a few minutes to warm up to me especially when I have my camera in front of my face but Heidi’s son was quickly eager for me to take photos of him.
Next we moved on to the Nims Mansion, a beautiful house set on a bluff above the Mississippi River. We first captured moments inside the gazebo and I captured some one-on-one images of mom with the kids. By this time both brother and sister were pros at looking at the camera and being engaged in the photos with their parents. Heidi requested we take photos by the Nims Mansion fountain since this was the setting of her dad’s wedding.
It’s aways fun meeting new people and capturing moments for them. It was such fun capturing moments of the kids with each parent, the siblings by themselves and then as a complete family. Some of my favorite photos are the ones with each parent interacting with their children. Bee Tree always provides beautiful backdrops and it was a stunning morning for photos!
