The sun perfectly shown through the trees when I met up with Dustin and Logan Jones with their adorable boys for their session. I checked the creek to discover that that sandbar would be a special location for this final session.
The family met me on the path and I was hopeful the boys would warm up to me quickly as we made our way toward our first spot. The boys were shy at first, but once I started suggesting tickle fights to their parents, smiles and giggles were abundant.
We made our way to the creek where the light was perfect! While the boys threw rocks into the rocks I snapped away capturing those moments. The family pictures on the creek were some of my favorite with both boys giving goofy grins and the parents in mid laugh!
Our final spot was the blanket which was backdropped in light-filtered trees. The boys raced to the blanket and once there had fun and tickle fights with their dad. Afterward, Logan had some tender time with her boys complete with hugs, cuddles and kisses. The spot wasn’t complete without some moments of the entire family where the boys gave amazing smiles!
I met Logan about a year ago and consider her a good friend. We often have great conversations about getting up early and what podcasts we’re currently binging. I was super excited to utilize a couple of spots in the park that had been too wet in the past. While Logan was a little nervous of how her boys would do during the session, I was thoroughly impressed by how well they did. I gave direction to Dustin and Logan which helped them to loosen up and allow me to capture some moments that weren’t stiff but rather authentic and beautiful.
