The beginning of November can be cold, but it was a perfectly warm afternoon as I drove down country roads to the Conrads home in Hillsboro. For the Conrads, who just returned after living in Australia for three years, their home is almost as new as their baby daughter.
The three older kids greeted me with their dad, Mike, as mom Savanna finished tending to their newest addition. Since they just moved in before giving birth and the house hasn’t been made quite a home yet, Savanna wanted to get photos outside in their gorgeous leaf-laden yard.
Having the Conrads back in the area is a celebration for our family (Mike stood beside my husband in our wedding)! I was thrilled to be welcomed to their home to capture moments of them as a new family of seven! I had a great time interacting with the kids, even utilizing my goofy sounds to get them to laugh and smile. By the end of our time, the kids were eager to show me all their bikes and scooters. I was even introduced to their outdoor cat that lives on the property – an indication that I was now a trusted friend!
