The love of a grandparent | St. Louis Family Photographer

Someone once said, “A grandparent is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend.” I can definitely see this true when it comes to my own two kids and their grandparents. It had been some time since I captured moments of my in-laws with their grandchildren and since they now have four, I decided it was time to set up another session. Thankfully, schedules worked out that we could do it on a spectacular summer evening that was pleasant to be out.

We met up at the lake at Bee Tree Park where their last grandparent/grandkid session occurred, this time adding two more grandkids to the mix. Even though two were mine, I still worked hard to get everyone to look at the camera at once. Keeping one of my nieces from bolting closer to the lake kept all the adults on alert. While there were small challenges, the moments captured, especially the interactive moments were simply precious! Pope Francis said, “Grandparents are a treasure in the family.” I couldn’t agree more!
