Always the writer, Heather Compton, co-owner of Kindhearted Badass, put pen to paper and wrote her debut memoir, “Misadventures of an Oxymoron.” Heather seamlessly intertwines her sense of humor as she retells moments from her life so far. Charles Stross once said, “Publishing is the final step in making a book; if I was afraid to publish one, I wouldn’t write in the first place.”
Friends, family and community members gathered at the beautiful Grit & Grace Ranch, where they celebrated alongside Heather, enjoyed some of the foods and other items mentioned in the book and got a signed copy while they were there.
Before the party began, Heather and her dear friend and business partner, Janine Kenna, enjoyed a branding session to use for their business, Kindhearted Badass. This vibrant community is an all-inclusive place for women to connect, learn, dream, grow, feel loved, and be heard, all while pushing themselves to become better. They have online courses, custom swag and a podcast.
Given the opportunity to capture moments during a book launch (remember, I’m a book nerd) plus a branding session was amazing! It was a pleasure to document such a big day for Heather as many people came to support and celebrate her book as well as use my skills to capture updated images for the business as well.
