Light filtered through the trees at Byrnes Mill City Park, overlooking Big River earlier this month when I met up with the Hanning Family. Mike and Lauren have a beautiful family with the girls doting after their younger brothers. As we walked toward our first stop during our session, I asked questions of the two boys as I tried to get them to warm up to me. After acting silly and yes, even acting like Blippi, I got them both to warm up to me (by the end of our session they were goobers!)
I had never visited Byrnes Mill City Park and knew very minimal about it, but it looked like a great spot for this session. I wasn’t disappointed! Even the historic Hagemeister House had a wreath on its door which gave some holiday cheer to the session.
I’ve known Lauren since childhood so I was excited to capture moments of the Hannings. I was surprised how the girls have grown and I loved capturing the tender moments between them and their brothers. Some of the best moments involved tickle fights, leaf tossing and hugs. Not only did I find a great new location, but also left with some wonderful memories for the Hanning family.
