There are moments that last in our hearts and memories for life, one being the first days after bringing home a baby. New parents, Lloyd and Ashley welcomed their precious daughter into the world on January 19, and only a few days later I was welcomed into their home to document some of Lynnlee’s first moments.

All the concerns and weight of keeping a newborn alive rest on the shoulders of exhausted parents, yet parents go beyond the call to make sure their baby is thriving. I could tell that Lloyd and Ashley had restless nights since Lynnlee’s arrival, but there was so much joy on their faces, you could tell they absolutely loved being parents.
Lloyd and Ashley effortlessly talked about dreams for their daughter’s future. It was sweet as they talked about her features and how she might one day be a pianist, guitarist, masseuse or deaf interpreter (she has big hands!). Most important, they talked about the joy of leading Lynnlee to Christ and seeing her give her life to Him.

happiness and light into our lives.
As I captured Lynnlee’s solo portraits, Ashley and Lloyd hung close, oohing and ahhing over how cute their daughter was. In fact, Ashley shared that they no longer watch TV while they eat; they simply set Lynnlee in her swing and watch her.
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.
