When I think back to my childhood, I often think to the time spent at camp where we waded in the creek to cool off during the hot summer. Spending time at the creek is often a summer tradition to find solace from the humid summer heat. I decided to offer splash sessions this year and two amazing families joined me one humid late afternoon to capture some magical moments creekside.

Russ & Cindy Berryman
I’ve known Russ and Cindy Berryman for many years and was super excited to capture some moments just the two of them as plans fell through with their kids and grandkids. While the location I picked along the creek was a perfect spot, the way to it wasn’t the easiest so they opted to capture moments by the trail. I didn’t mind! Having been together since high school, this couple easily posed together and captured some beautiful moments.

The Sweet Family
I had the pleasure to capture moments of Luke and Joslyn Sweet and their son Jack during a recent front steps session and when they contacted me about this session was excited to yet again capture this loving family. Joslyn had everyone dressed perfectly for this comfortable outdoor session. Jack quickly stole the show, jumping in the water and throwing rocks. I loved capturing moments of Jack as well as his parents during our time together.
