A pandemic can change things. Ellen Lauer, this year’s Super Mom winner, contacted me about doing a special type session, a pandemic-styled shoot. I knew she was excited about the session when she revealed the details of each of her five kids picking something they’ve been doing during the pandemic and featuring it in our time together.
“Families are like fudge – mostly sweet with a few nuts.”
When I arrived, they all filed out of their home to capture moments in the yard while they proudly displayed their props. Not only did the kids have props but Ellen and her husband Craig had some as well. It was a fun time had by all!

The Lauer family may never forget this pandemic especially now that they have some fun images depicting what they did during their time home.
