Kelly contacted me early this season about capturing her family while her oldest daughter, Kayla, was in town for a short visit during Thanksgiving. I eagerly accepted the invitation, knowing how much Kelly treasures her family and how it’s not often they are all together.

Originally scheduled to shoot the session outside at a local park in Kirkwood, our plans changed due to the severe wind. We met at the Botanical Gardens and walked to the indoor Temperate House that provided shelter from the intense wind. Though the location changed it didn’t damper the fun we had while I captured moments of this loving family.
It was lovely seeing the family interact with one another. Jim and Kelly were so sweet with one another and could tell they are proud of their daughters. It was nice meeting Kayla and talk about Washington D.C., the city she now calls home and it was enjoyable discussing music with Amber.
