Capturing the Sibling Bond | Children Session

I met the Benn family through the Arnold Classical Conversations group. While no longer participating in the group, Miranda wanted to get photos similar to the ones I took so she shot me an email and booked a session for her two children, who have a beautiful bond.

We met at the Ludwig Nature Area in Festus and I brought my school desk, a few books and my kids. (I normally don’t bring my kids on sessions so this was a special event.) It was a beautiful day and the wooded area filtered the light in almost a magical way. Mila and Easton did such a great job listening to direction to get the images their mom wanted. We captured individual shots but also included some sweet sibling shots that made the session extra special!

There were so many great images from this session, it was hard to narrow them down! Mila and Easton were rockstars and capturing genuine smiles and laughter was natural for them. I was delighted with the ease of how the brother and sister interacted and the genuine laughter that ensued after the tickle fight.

A personal note was that I loved allowing my children to see into what I do during a session. My daughter was eager to help and grabbed some background video and photos during my time with the Benn children. I was delighted to see how well they acted and may allow them to tag along for more sessions in the future, building our bond.
