Sandy Creek Covered Bridge in Hillsboro is the perfect backdrop for fall moments when fall foliage may not have burst quite yet. I met with three families during the morning that could be considered perfect even though it was warmer than an average autumn morning.
I first met with the Winslow family who I met through The Bennett Project. James, Brandi and their three kids joined me for some fun moments. They were excited to get new photos and remarked that they enjoyed it was only ten minutes from their home. I had a great time with the family and especially loved capturing the siblings goofing off.
Next, I met Ryan and Melanie and their adorable children. Melanie was excited for the images since they hadn’t had any taken since their youngest, now one, was born. While two boys were quick to smile, the middle one was more of a challenge. His brother soon came to my aide and helped coax a smile from him. Some of my favorite moments of this session happened creekside with the boys skipping rocks and the parents getting some photos of just the two of them.
Lastly, I captured moments of the Stockton family. I last took images of this family in 2020 and I was surprised how much older the kids looked just four years later. Carter, the youngest, is no longer the shortest and it was fun catching up to see how his sisters enjoy their university studies.
Sandy Creek holds a special place in my heart since it’s the location of my wedding photos and I love introducing it to other families so it can be a special place for them as well!
