Four days before Christmas, parents Dalen and Gabby decided that a photo session was in order to celebrate their daughter’s first birthday.
We met at the beautiful light-filled studio, COCOS St. Louis, where I not only captured family moments but individual moments of each parent with their daughter. It only took a few minutes for Miss Harli to warm up to me and before long we were playing peek-a-boo around the furniture in the studio. Important to Gabby was capturing the milestone moment of making a year of breastfeeding her daughter. Making it sweeter was the genuine bonding the mother daughter shared holding hands as Harli nursed. Dalen’s love for his daughter was evident in their interaction with one another and tickle fights ensued. Capturing family moments around the Christmas-themed studio created a magical birthday backdrop as well.

It was a fun time of dancing, laughing, smiling and playing around the studio with the birthday girl and her parents. It was a great time of capturing those in-between moments that sometimes you can miss when the camera goes down. Celebrating with the birthday girl was fun and when we ended our time together could see a nap was in the birthday girl’s future.
