Summer Nights Sessions | St. Louis Family Photographer

Summer Nights sessions are special to me. While summer can be extremely hot, evenings and its light can be magical and perfect for a session. This year I offered summer night sessions as a fundraiser for a mission trip to Liberia and I had the privilege to capture moments of two great families.

The Merseal Family

Stacy won a Summer Nights session as part of Rare Vision’s birthday celebration. I met the family of three on a sunlit evening that though hot, was bearable as the sun began to set. Josh and Stacy’s daughter loved being outside and delighted to see some dogs that passed by during our time together. I had so much fun capturing the moments they shared, especially as mom shared her bracelets with her daughter.

Down at the creek, Josh and Stacy’s daughter was in her element, splashing and running through the water effortlessly. She loved time on her dad’s shoulders, sweet moments with her mom and pretending to fish.

The Kendall Family

After a reschedule due to a haircut snafu, I met the Kendall family on a beautifully cool evening. Although I knew who the family were from church, I didn’t know them extremely well. We met and the group quickly got into the groove of photos taken. It was such a fun time with them, learning more about them and their interests. As we wrapped up, I learned from Carrie that the boys wore some of Ben’s old polos to coordinate well. It was such a thoughtful touch!

I had a delightful time capturing moments of these two families over the summer. While summer comes to an end, I will have some fond memories of these sessions.
