A Super Mom Session | St. Louis Family Photographer

Despite the excessive heat wave, the Shelton family gathered together at Faust Park for a family session. Sonia, this year’s Super Mom, was quick to make sure everyone had everything they needed to make this session special. Her granddaughter was in town visiting which made this the perfect time to have the moments captured all together.

Sonia, the winner of this year’s Super Mom contest was nominated by her daughter Courtney. “She is my rock and best friend,” said Cortney in her nomination.

Capturing moments of a large group can sometimes be intimidating but the Shelton family did a great job following my lead and being ready for the next grouping as I called out shots I wanted to capture. Some of the most precious moments included shots of the grandkids and parents, siblings together and fun sister shots.

Despite the hot day and mosquitoes, the family were troopers. The family made sure their Super Mom got the photos she desired. I loved capturing moments of the entire family, but the smaller family groups were magical! The kids did a wonderful job during the session and enjoyed some playground time afterward.
