Though hot and humid, the weather didn’t stop the Ufford family from capturing moments during an evening session at Round Lake in Forest Park.
Katy initially contacted me via Instagram to get the evening set up. Katy and husband Kevin moved to St. Louis while Kevin completes his residency program. Visiting them from Michigan were Katy’s parents, Rebecca and Don, and her brother, Taylor. They were eager to get updated family photos while everyone was together.
I met the Ufford family, including their dog Newton. Though Newton was distracted by the nearby geese, he quickly obeyed Rebecca and Don. Newton was a trooper during our time and was a natural looking at the camera. Capturing moments lakeside was beautiful and we did a variety of different shots.
We meandered not too far from the lake to capture more moments at a beautiful Victorian footbridge and around the paths we followed. Don was quickly inspired by the bridge to get some fun photos and the family followed his lead. I also captured a variety of headshots for Don as he prepares to run for office.
As we wrapped up our time together, I had a great conservation with Rebecca who gave suggestions for my upcoming vacation. Some of my favorites of our time together include Katy and Rebecca cheek-to-cheek; Don and Taylor sitting on the bridge; the whole group together at the lake and Don and Rebecca sitting on a bench. I absolutely love capturing moments in Forest Park and enjoyed discovering a new section of the park with the Ufford family.
