With the most gorgeous day, I met with Allison and Andrés at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We met to capture some moments of mom- and dad-to-be before their baby Lucy makes her debut. Allison was excited to incorporate the gardens in her images, especially since she hadn’t visited since a child. It was Andrés’ first visit and I shared some of the history with him and played docent at the beginning of our time together.
We meandered throughout the Ottoman and hosta gardens before we finished our time in one of my favorite spots, the Linnean House. As soon as we entered the house, Allison and Andrés were instantly captivated with the plants. Andrés commented that the Linnean House smelled like his home country of El Salvador.
I love sharing my favorite St. Louis locations and MOBot is one of them! Throughout our time together I loved capturing the more silly moments Allison and Andrés shared, including matching belly bumps. It was a blessing to encourage first-time mom Allison as she’s physically ready to welcome Lucy, but also have some nerves, which are expected. I was overwhelmed with the love both Allison and Andrés have for their baby and the anticipation they have for Lucy’s arrival.
