2019 has come to an end and we are well on our way onto a new year, a new decade! I love taking some time to reflect on the things that made 2019 so special for me and Rare Vision Photography.
Passion Project:
I love collaborating with other creatives and summer 2019 I got partner with a handful of local artists to capture them doing what they love to do. I got to capture Natacia Zaricor working on a piece for an upcoming art show in her home studio. Heather LaChance welcomed me into her home as she worked on a pet portraiture. I headed downtown to the City Garden to capture Joe Mancuso serenading the lunch crowd. I captured young and talented Maddy Harwell in her parent’s basement, now her studio, as she worked on some designs featuring her calligraphy and watercolor. Finally, I captured Heather Compton at her home showing the day in a life of a business owner and a mom to two littles.
Wonderful partnerships:
I once again partnered with The Timko Realty Group in 2019 to capture moments of their clients during two client appreciation events: their spring appreciation at the Malt House Cellar in Lafayette Square and their photos with Santa in December.
I also had the opportunity to partner with the Chick-fil-A on Hampton to provide photos with Santa during a special Christmas evening at their restaurant.
Capturing some wonderful moments:
Again, where do I begin!? I had a wonderful year capturing moments that will be treasured by the clients for years to come. I had the opportunity to capture first moments for many families welcoming their babies, including a birth story. I had a blast capturing moments of families in their homes for lifestyle sessions. I captured an extra special moment as my brother-in-law proposed to his wife. I captured sweet moments of a family with their foster child. I was able to collaborate with numerous, local talented artists which was something I thoroughly enjoyed. I found a wonderful new location to host Christmas mini sessions and ended the year with capturing some amazing moments there!
New clients:
I captured moments for 28 new families this year. I enjoyed meeting many of them for the first time, interacting with them and capturing moments for them that will be priceless to look back on.
I am so stoked for 2020 and all the moments I will be able to capture!
